Clinics & Services

Maternity Care

Organised in conjunction with the midwife and hospital clinics. All the doctors undertake ante-natal care by appointment at specific times during pregnancy. The surgery does not routinely test for pregnancy as self-test kits can be bought from the chemists.

Child Heath

Child Clinics are run by the doctors where your child can receive their 6-8 Week Check and their first set of immunisations. Subsequent immunisations are provided by our nurses in Baby Clinics. Parents with children under the age of 5 will be contacted by a Health Visitor and given an information sheet. Please do contact the surgery if you have not had your child immunised.

For further information please contact the Health Visitors.

Family Planning

Check-ups for contraception can be booked with any of our nurses in their Nurse Clinics or in a dedicated Family Planning clinic.

Sexual Health

Sexual health advice and treatment is provided by our specialist sexual health nurses and doctors. Please make an appointment.

Minor Surgery Clinic

Minor surgery is performed by Dr Linsenmaier in special clinic sessions. You must be referred by a doctor for this.

Asthma & COPD Clinic

The surgery provides full support and our nurses trained in Asthma and COPD management. Patients suffering with asthma and COPD will be invited for an annual review.

Diabetes Clinic

Dr Carroll, Dr Harris and Nurse Ruth provide a clinic for our diabetic patients by appointment. It is important that all our diabetic patients can be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that they are getting the care they need.

Suture Removal

Our practice nurses carry out suture removal in their routine clinics. Please arrange appointments as required via reception.

Counselling

The practice provides a counselling service which is provided by the Community Primary Care Mental Health Team (CPCMHT).

To see the counsellor you will need to be referred by your doctor who will arrange an appointment with one of our counsellors.
