Elm House Surgery has an established PPG, joint with our sister practice, Cator Medical Centre.
What are PPGs?
PPGs are generally made up of a group of volunteer patients and practice staff who meet on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of the patients and the practice. PPGs act as representatives of the practice population, thereby acting as a channel of communication between the practice and its patients.
What do PPGs do?
PPGs can play a number of vital roles within the practice, such as carrying out research to understand the views of the wider practice population, working with the practice to promote health education initiatives, improving communication through newsletters, or discussing ways in which the practice could be developed further.
Benefits of Being a Member
Being involved in a PPG gives you the opportunity to have a say in the way in which health services are delivered, and enables you to gain a better understanding of how the practice operates. It’s a great way to give something back, and make positive changes! It’s also a good way to meet new people and learn new skills!
How Often does the PPG Meet?
We are currently up to full capacity with our PPG. We want to ensure, however that our PPG is a representative mix of our practice population, so if you are aged under 30 years old and would like to join, please contact the practice. We aim to review membership annually.
If you’d like to join the PPG please download and complete the form below. We will try to meet on a quarterly basis as a minimum.
We will be in touch shortly after we receive your form. Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.
Many thanks for your assistance
